Rebecca Rapoport-Cole, Piano

Rebecca Rapoport-Cole, is an active teacher in Boston, MA. Rebecca has had the pleasure of teaching both private and group classes to children and adults alike. Areas of Teaching include: beginner and intermediate piano, classical voice, musical theater voice, pop, jazz, and vocal audition preparation- including high school and university vocal exams.  Rebecca’s teaching highlights include having her own private studio, in Toronto and Victoria, Canada, 2005-2008, serving as music instructor and accompanist for StageCraft Theatre, 2007-2008, as well as teaching voice and piano for ABC Academy of music ( 2008-2009), and the Snider School of Music (2009-2010), Toronto, Canada. In addition to her teaching, Rebecca has been both the director and assistant director for children’s musicals at institutions such as Camp Shalom, 2003, and the Victoria Conservatory of Music, Triple Threat theatre program, 2008-2009.

As a performer, Rebecca has sung and performed operatic roles in Canada, the USA, as well as Europe. Most recently, she performed the role of Annio in Mozart’s, La Clemenza di Tito, as well as held a residency with the Banff- Opera as Theatre program.  Earlier in 2011 she had the pleasure of singing Esprit 6 in the MetroWest production of Massenet’s Cenrillon and Mrs. Nolan in Menotti’s The Medium, at the Longy School of Music. Other operatic roles include, Bradamante, Handel’s Alcina, Isaura, Rossini’s Tancredi, Sorceress, Purcell’s Dido and Aeanes, La Ciesa, Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Sesto in Handel’s Giulio Cesare.

Rebecca is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (BA, specialty in Music), as well as the Opera Studio program at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. She is currently an Opera Masters candidate at the Longy Conservatory of Music.
