Thursday, May 18th – Charlestown Instrument Petting Zoo

NEMPAC and the Eureka Musician’s Ensemble will team up in an exciting “Tour of the Towns” this summer, bringing their fun and interactive Instrument Petting Zoos to Charlestown and Beacon Hill. At each event, Eureka musicians and NEMPAC Instructors will work with children to teach them about the different instrument groups that they specialize in, as well as to help them try out the instruments themselves. From violins to clarinets to trumpets, children will get to touch, play, and learn about instruments of all types, from playing fun call and repeat games on the hand drums to trying to produce a clear note on the trumpet.

TOUR OF THE TOWNS:
Each event is free and open to the public! We encourage all ages and abilities to join us.

Sunday, May 21st – North End Corn-hole Classic Tournament – 2nd Annual
 
State Representative Aaron Michlewitz hosts a fundraiser to benefit NEMPAC and the Geraldine Marshall Music Scholarship Fund.

Time: 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Have a real Sunday Funday with the return of the North End Cornhole Classic charity cornhole tournament! This year will feature better prizes, more than double the boards, with a new and improved tournament bracket!

State Representative Aaron Michlewitz is hosting the 2nd Annual North End Cornhole Classic, a fundraising cornhole tournament with proceeds going to the Geraldine Marshall Scholarship Fund and the North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC).

Prices: $50 per team ($25 per person). 
Ticket gets you: 2 Guaranteed Games, 1 Drink Ticket, and one T-Shirt. 
“Walk ins” at the door are $60 per team ($30 per person) and are limited, tickets cannot be guarenteed.

Prizes: 1st Place: Customizable Cornhole Boards for the winning pair. 
             2nd and 3rd Place prizes are to be announced at a later date. 

Check in will begin at noon and the tournament will start promptly at 1:00pm

The tournament will consist of a two-game-per-team round robin to decide the playoff seedings in a 32 team single elimination bracket. Playoff details will be based on the number of teams entered. The tournament will be outside and just in time for the warm weather!

There will also be a DJ, raffle, and various other sponsored happenings.
